Title: I know Why the Caged Bird Sings?

Written by: Maya Angelou

It is the story of when Maya Angelou was little and how bad it was, and she always saw Mrs. Flowers and Mrs. Flowers would tell her about her life in slavery.  Do you want to hear these stories?  Go, look and find out by reading this book.

Recommendation:  I recommend this book to 10- 13 year olds.  It’s a great book and you learn about someone else’s story.

The book We Beat the Street by Drs. Sampson Davis, George Jenkins and Ramick Hunt will take you on a breathtaking adventure.  This book is about the three doctors giving stories about what they went through and all the challenges they overcame to get where they are now.  The doctors had to overcome their community, drug dealers, guns and the police.  I challenge you to go and read this book.

The book I recommend is We Beat the Street.  If you grew up in a rough neighborhood and you and your friends wanted to become doctors and see what it is like in a different neighborhood, how it is growing up on the streets and finishing college was.  Three childhood friends encounter a lot growing up.  Sampson, George, Rameck when Sampson had a cinderblock crush his foot, he went to the hospital.

He took off the bloody sock, luckily, no bones were broken.  Sampson said, “I want to be a doctor.”  But he gave up on that until he and his friends go through a lot.  I definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to know what it is like to not go to college, you will go to college after this.

Book Review: The Third Wish by Joan Aiken

This story is about a man named Peter that was lonely and strongly needed a companion, so he went to the woods to view the rainforest.  While he was in the forest/woods he noticed a swan stuck in a bush, so he decided to pull it out.  While trying to pull the swan out, the swan started fighting Peter.   Finally Peter pulled the swan out and turned into a Leprechaun and gave him three wishes.  To find out the three wishes Peter made, read the book, The Third Wish.

Recommendation:  I recommend this book to people who are interested in the motif-three wishes and to people who like fiction stories.
